The International Journal of Ayush Darpan (IJAD) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research, education, and evidence-informed practices in Ayurveda, Yoga, AYUSH systems, complementary health approaches, and integrative health.
The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, academicians, clinicians, healthcare professionals, educators, policymakers, and students to share original research, clinical findings, scholarly reviews, and academic perspectives related to traditional, complementary, and integrative health.
IJAD is committed to promoting scientific rigor, research integrity, cultural sensitivity, and ethical scholarly communication while respecting the authenticity of traditional knowledge systems. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research that responsibly connects classical knowledge with contemporary scientific methods.

The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, practitioners, clinicians, academicians, educators, students, and policymakers worldwide.
Manuscripts presenting therapeutic, diagnostic, or preventive claims must provide appropriate scholarly or scientific evidence. The journal does not publish promotional articles, unsubstantiated health claims, or manuscripts intended primarily to advertise a product, clinic, educational program, or commercial service.
Peer-Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to evaluate their relevance, originality, completeness, scholarly quality, and compliance with the journal’s ethical and formatting requirements.
Manuscripts that successfully complete the initial screening are ordinarily evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process.
Original research articles, clinical studies, systematic reviews, and review articles are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

The Editor-in-Chief has final responsibility for editorial decisions. Reviewer recommendations are advisory and do not automatically determine acceptance or rejection.

Suspected misconduct will be evaluated according to the journal’s established editorial procedures. Authors will ordinarily be given an opportunity to respond to material concerns. Appropriate action may include requesting clarification, rejecting a manuscript, publishing a correction, issuing an expression of concern, retracting an article, or contacting a relevant institution when justified.
Plagiarism and Duplicate-Publication Policy
The International Journal of Ayush Darpan does not permit plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate text reuse, or unauthorized use of another person’s ideas, data, tables, figures, or written material.
Submitted manuscripts may be examined using similarity-detection software or other editorial assessment methods.
Similarity reports are evaluated in context. The journal does not use a single similarity percentage as an automatic basis for acceptance or rejection. References, standard methodological descriptions, properly attributed quotations, and commonly used technical expressions may legitimately appear in a similarity report.

A manuscript containing significant plagiarism or duplicate publication may be rejected. If misconduct is discovered after publication, the journal may publish a correction, issue an expression of concern, retract the article, or take other appropriate editorial action.
Artificial Intelligence Policy
Authors must disclose any material use of generative artificial-intelligence tools in preparing manuscript text, images, code, translations, data analysis, or other submitted material.
Artificial-intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot approve the final manuscript, disclose conflicts of interest, or accept responsibility for the work.

Routine spelling, grammar, and formatting assistance generally does not require disclosure unless the tool materially generates or alters scholarly content.
Privacy Statement
Names, email addresses, affiliations, and other personal information provided through the journal website or submission process will be used for legitimate editorial and publication purposes.
Personal information may be accessed by authorized editors, reviewers, editorial staff, technical service providers, and publishing partners when necessary for journal operations.
The journal will not sell personal information. Information will not be disclosed to unrelated third parties except when required for journal operations, ethical investigations, legal compliance, or protection of the scholarly record.

Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
The International Journal of Ayush Darpan is committed to maintaining an accurate and trustworthy scholarly record.
A formal correction may be published when an error affects the interpretation, accuracy, or completeness of a published article but does not invalidate its principal findings.
An expression of concern may be issued when serious questions have been raised about an article but an investigation is incomplete or inconclusive.

Retraction notices will identify the affected article and explain the reason for retraction. The original article will ordinarily remain accessible as part of the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as retracted.

Authors may appeal an editorial decision by submitting a written request that identifies specific factual, procedural, ethical, or scientific concerns.

Appeals and complaints will be evaluated fairly. Whenever reasonably possible, a matter involving the Editor-in-Chief will be reviewed by an independent senior editor or advisory-board member who was not involved in the original decision.
